CeramiSphere particles are biocompatible and biodegradable;

They are safe, bio-compatible, non-toxic, and, most importantly, after releasing their payload, they dissolve at physiological pH and are eliminated from the body via the kidneys.

Ceramic materials, such as silica, do not produce toxic degradation products.
