Choice of Particle Size

CeramiSphere's highly adaptable technology means it can produce a wide range of particle sizes, ranging from less than 10 nanometres to 100 microns. Other technologies can only service more limited size ranges within this scale.

CeramiSphere's adaptability results in a broad spectrum of applications. One can use it to encapsulate an active ingredient and formulate it for a range of uses. For example, the same biocide can be encapsulated in 0.5 micron size particles for use in paint, in 50 micron granules for mixing with concrete, and at the nanoscale for use as a wood impregnator.

In healthcare, different conditions demand different modes of drug delivery. IV treatments require nanoparticles to deliver the therapeutic, while treatments for lung conditions are more suitable in 1 micron particles. Subcutaneous delivery can be at the 10 micron size, and oral delivery can handle larger particles.
