Leena Burgess joined CeramiSphere in September 2006, where she now works on research and development of CeramiSphere patented encapsulation and controlled release technologies.
Prior to joining CeramiSphere she was employed as an organic research chemist with the University of Wollongong. There, her focus was on the synthesis of polyhydroxoxylated pyrrolidines as potential lead compounds in the treatment of type II diabetes, cancer and lysosomal storage diseases. Leena holds a Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry (Adv) with first class honours from the University of Wollongong.
